Attractions Report

CVB

  • The City of Bowling Green plans to contract with the CVB to install five downtown gateway signs and 9-10 pedestrian tourism kiosks.
  • The CVB will be sponsoring two episodes of the Grudge Race television show that were filmed at Beech Bend Raceway in May along with two other episodes that will be sponsored by the Chamber.
  •  Greyline is still interested in putting in a trial line in Bowling Green
  •  Janet thanked everyone for all of their efforts during Tri-Five weekend, 2752 cars attended this year
  •  Janet and Jessica Warren will be attending Rendevous South representing the CVB and Sloan Convention Center respectively, on behalf of the entire city, to meet and greet several meeting planners to persuade them to bring their conferences to Bowling Green. Jessica is putting together a short video to send to the planners. If you are interested in doing so, send Jessica a 5 second video, shot horizontally, stating your name and hotel
  • Camaro Fest signed for 2019, Janet is working on 2020 as well
  • LS Fest is coming up and guests are still needing rooms, contact Janet if you have some available
  • Corvette Caravan is returning in 2019, Katie has done a tremendous job updating corvettecaravan.com with the most recent lodging information for travelers. Please review the page and send her any updates if needed

  • August 24-25, the KY Guild cancelled their event
  • September 2, e-Cig Mania
  • September 23, Maternity, Baby and Kids Expo
  • October 12, 10K Classic Dinner
  • October 26, WKU HoDA luncheon
  • October 30, Chamber of Commerce Targeted Business and Industry Dinner
  • November 12, CHC Charity Ball
  • January 12, Health and Wellness Expo

Corvette Museum

  • October 12, Motorcycle Music Fest weekend, the Corvette Museum will still be open for tours
  • Corvette Caravan is returning the last weekend of August 2019, please be sure to review corvettecaravan.com and send Katie any updates that are needed for your hotel

Alzheimer Walk Committee stood up, Leslie spoke more about the team participation. Please see Joy Jolly’s previous email about signing up your employees to walk. BGALA is paying the entrance fee.
