The BGALA Holiday Party was hosted by the National Corvette Museum on Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

Taylor Howard from NCM Motorsports Park reported the signing of a 10-year deal to host the SCCA National Time Trials. The event will be held annually the last weekend of September starting in 2019.
Katie Ellison from NCM reported the new NASA exhibit will be opening in January and be open thru July, featuring Corvettes owned by astronauts. The C8 Corvette is set to be revealed in April, just in time for the NCM Bash. Katie continues updating the Corvette Caravan lodging site. There is a new dual property under construction next to GM–a Sleep/Mainstay.
Marissa Butler from the BGACVB reported on behalf of the Kentucky Museum–the museum just received a grant allowing for free admission for three years, starting in January. Group tours at the Kentucky Museum will still require admission.
Lost River Cave reported its Reindeer Encounter event last weekend was a success. Its next major event is the Snow Flurry Scurry 5K Run in January.
BGALA members played a fun Dirty Santa game and held drawings for gift cards based on donated items for The Foundry. Members collected these and donated them after the meeting. Thanks to all who donated in support of this local cause during the holiday season.
